BALENDU DIXIT, born in a princely town of Gwalior. Belongs to a family of lawyers, he too is a Corporate Attorney with almost 18+ years of experience where he has been instrumental in assisting and advising top MNC’s, Leading Media Houses, & other fortune 500 corporate clients through which he has built a reputation for expertise, specialized solutions and the ability to think ahead. As a young boy, Balendu was fascinated by the wonderful world of films and couldn’t wait to grow up and be a part of that magical realm. Fortunate enough; though being from a family of lawyers, back in early 90’s his father produced a movie and was involved with Kala Mandir, Kala Vithika and was part of many Film Festivals which was his first few surreal encounters with the entertainment industry. Ironically, life had other plans and he began his career being a litigant first and then slowly found his interest in corporate & business law. For more than a decade, he remained an enthusiastic learner, and gradually proved himself and was soon involved in successfully closing major entertainment transactions, including motion picture studios, television networks, film/ television distribution companies, Internet and digital media companies which brought him much closer to his lost love for the entertainment business blending it very well with his profession. Now having proved that he had the ability to operate successfully, he took a leap of faith and plunged headlong to setup GOLD HARVEST FILM LLP in partnership with his client, mentor & friend Deepak Gupta and his childhood friends from The Scindia School - Romit Dasgupta & Shamit Kalra.

Shamit joined his family business of manufacturing Soy edible oils and animal proteins in 2003 after he completed his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, New York. For the next four years he focused in understanding the fundamentals of the trade and future opportunities that lies ahead. He then went for his MBA in International Trade and Finance from Birmingham Business School, UK for the furtherance of knowledge in international business practices.

In 2008 he joined back the family business full time and focused on converting by-products from crude oil into niche high value product called Lecithin for chocolate and confectionary applications for large multinational companies in Europe. It took him 6 years to become the second largest exporter of Lecithin from India and was supplying to some of world’s largest chocolate & confectionary manufacturers. In 2015, with the support of family, he commissioned a green field project called Sun Nutrafoods in Mandideep (Bhopal), Madhya Pradesh to solely focus on the manufacturing and sales of various value-added products made from Soy, Sunflower, and Yellow Peas to customers around the world. Today the company exports to around 40 countries around the world. He saw the growing demand for products made from plant-based proteins and started developing various ingredients for that segment quite early on and being an early entrant gave the company a huge advantage to become a prominent supplier to several plant-based meat brands in India and abroad.

Shamit is constantly looking for new business opportunities, whether it is within the company by doing constant research and development or exploring new business verticals. He has always been attracted to entertainment and media industry and when the opportunity of starting a new production house came and that too with his childhood school friends, he just jumped in to create Gold Harvest Film brand.

Deepak Gupta started working in the family business at the age of 18. In those times running a business was not easy but through sheer determination and persistence, he helped grow Plaza Cable Group from a small private firm to one of the largest wires and cables company of India. He was bestowed the responsibility of starting the manufacturing of high tension cables up to 66 kva to be supplied in development projects all over India. He still holds the record for procuring the highest order value of that time.

In 2009, after branching out from the family tree, he founded DeeGee Group as a one stop solution for all industrial and domestic electrical requirements. He further expanded the company to have interests in Finance, Real Estate, Films & Entertainment Industries. The company came into existence because of the vision of Deepak Gupta. After carefully studying the industry trends, he saw a gap in the electrical industry that no other company was filling. Since then, the company under the leadership of Deepak Gupta has gone from strength to strength. DeeGee Group is proud to have over 700 dealers and distributors spread across the length and breadth of India.

The biggest motivation, is to keep challenging yourself. This is the motto that Deepak Gupta lives by. Getting into a new business is never easy but the high of cracking it is a different feeling altogether. The inspiration behind Gold Harvest films is the will to never settle. That is why, he took it upon himself to make this a success as well.

One of the most important aspects of anyone’s life should be to work on the betterment of society as well. Deepak Gupta believes in serving the members of the community. In line with that vision, he is running a charitable trust in Haridwar which serves the devotees with a 75 room dharamshala in the city.

Romit Dasgupta is a serial entrepreneur who at the age of 23 (2002), did his first tech start-up in New York and built it into a multi-million dollar enterprise with Fortune 500 clients. In 2007, he joined his family business, Globsyn Group having business interests in Education, Technology, Vocational Training and Real Estate. He brings a global outlook, strategic vision and a profound passion for institution building to all his ventures. In his recent role as the MD of Globsyn’s technology business (Artificial Intelligence & Fintech), he was instrumental in scaling it’s operations from 50 to over 2000 people in India & abroad. He is an Angel Investor & plays an active role in mentoring start-ups. Romit moved to UAE in 2019, to expand his business interest in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Fintech.

Romit is an authority in the area of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and has been a speaker at various seminars and forums including TiE, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, the House of Commons (UK) and GITEX (UAE). His team building and people skills have seen him taking up leadership positions in several youth organisations including CII-Young Indians, the Youth wing of Confederation of Indian Industries, which he led as its Chairman (Kolkata, India).
